Life Path 10, the Trailblazer, is the number of the person who goes first: the same drive to lead that belongs to 1, only you need far less permission before you start. How to calculate Life Path 10
Your Life Path number comes from your full date of birth. Add every digit of the day, month and four-digit year, then keep reducing until the result lands inside the set of valid Life Path numbers. The two schools disagree about what that set contains. The Vietnamese school uses twelve numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 22. Once the total hits one of those twelve you stop, which is why 10 is kept whole. The Western school keeps only 1 through 9 plus the master numbers, so it takes 10 one step further down to 1.
Take someone born on 26 June 2021, written 26/06/2021:
- The digits are 2, 6, 0, 6, 2, 0, 2, 1
- 2 + 6 + 0 + 6 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 1 = 19
- 1 + 9 = 10
- Stop here, because 10 belongs to the set
That gives Life Path 10. Under the Western method you add one more step, 1 + 0 = 1, and the same birth date gives Life Path 1. Same arithmetic, different stopping point.
One detail is easy to miss: 10 is kept only in the Life Path position.
