What numerology is

Numerology is a way of reading a name and a birth date as a set of numbers, then interpreting what those numbers say about how a person tends to think, work and relate to others. This site uses the Pythagorean system, the most common one in the English-speaking world. Each letter of your name maps to a digit from 1 to 9, the digits of your birth date are added together, and the results are reduced to a single digit or to one of the master numbers 11, 22 and 33.

It is not a science and we do not present it as one. Treat the reading like a well-written personality profile: a mirror that describes patterns, not a forecast. If a line rings true, use it. If it does not, the arithmetic is on screen so you can see where it came from and decide for yourself.

Why we show the working

Most numerology sites hand you a number and ask you to trust it. We show every addition, because two details change results more often than people expect. First, there are two schools for the Life Path: adding every digit of the birth date in one long sum, or reducing day, month and year separately before adding them. They usually agree, but when one lands on 11, 22 or 33 the reading changes, so we calculate both and let you switch. Second, names carry accents. Vietnamese names are converted before mapping: tone marks and diacritics are removed and Đ becomes D, so Nguyễn Đức is read as Nguyen Duc and every letter has a clear value. You see the converted name, so nothing happens behind a curtain.

We store nothing

Your name and birth date are used to build the chart and for nothing else. They are not saved, not attached to an account and not shared with anyone. Close the tab and they are gone. We do not run ads, so there is nothing to target and no reason to keep your data.

Frequently asked questions

Is this numerology calculator really free?

Yes. Every indicator and every interpretation is available without payment, sign-up or advertising. There is no premium tier hiding the useful parts, and you can recalculate as often as you like.

Which numerology system does this site use?

The Pythagorean system, in which the letters A to Z map to the digits 1 to 9 in repeating order and the birth date is reduced by addition. It is the system behind most English-language numerology books. We do not use the Chaldean system, which assigns letters differently.

Why does my Life Path differ from another site?

Most likely the other site uses the other school of calculation, or handles the master numbers 11, 22 and 33 differently. Some sites also reduce a name without removing accents. Switch methods in our calculator and compare the working; you will usually find the exact step where the two results part ways.
